Roguelike Dungeons Mod [1.12.2, 1.11.2] (Explore randomly generated dungeons in Minecraft)

The Roguelike Dungeons Mod for 1.12.2 and 1.11.2 (Forge Modloader) creates enormous subterranean dungeon buildings with randomly generated layouts and treasures. In the popular Minecraft mod called "Roguelike Dungeons," players can experience a new type of gameplay that combines elements of roguelike games with procedurally generated dungeons. Here are some things that players can do in this mod:

  • Explore randomly generated dungeons: Each time a player enters a dungeon, the layout and contents of the dungeon will be different, providing a unique and challenging experience each time.
  • Collect loot: As players explore the dungeon, they will find a variety of treasures and loot to collect, including rare and valuable items.
  • Fight bosses: At the end of each dungeon, players will encounter a boss that they must defeat in order to progress. These bosses are more powerful than regular enemies and provide a greater challenge for players.
  • Upgrade their character: As players progress through the game, they can find and equip new gear and items that will help them become stronger and more powerful.
  • Play with friends: The mod includes multiplayer support, so players can team up with their friends to tackle the dungeons together.

Overall, "Roguelike Dungeons" is a fun and challenging mod that adds a new level of gameplay to Minecraft. Whether you're playing alone or with friends, there is always something new and exciting to discover in the procedurally generated dungeons.

Super-hostile terrain and roguelike dungeon crawlers inspired this mod. With the insane addition of destructible/buildable terrain. The environment generator has mostly undergone adjustments; the gameplay itself is essentially unchanged.

The result is that your world now contains vast, multi-tiered dungeon "towers." They have bespoke mob spawners, treasure boxes, and numerous themed chambers. Creeper spawners and Enderman spawners are just a few examples of dungeons with their own chambers, making it a wonderful area to construct a grinder or harvest spawners if you have another mod that can do so.

Mod Features

  • When trying to locate one of these dungeons, seek towers as markers. They are most commonly seen around settlements.
  • The outer tower has a chest in the top chamber and is also a nice site to build up a base while the player raids the dungeon below. As the player descends the first spiral staircase from the top room, the following floor features four entrances that are normally at ground level and are most likely the primary method the player will enter and depart the tower. As the player descends farther, they will reach a room with three archways that are barred with iron bars. This is where the game really becomes interesting.
  • The custom spawners and custom chambers lie beyond these bars, and the player's goal is to get past them and find the next stairway below. There are five floors in all, with the loot growing more valuable and the creatures becoming more difficult (i.e., more numerous and armored) as the player descends. Nether blocks such as Nether Quartz Ore, Obsidian, Nether Brick, and Soul Sand make up the final floor.
